A quick reminder for soccer parents and players to contact Mr. Weidman via email at Weidmans@embarqmail.com or call him at 717-367-1022 to participate in the Turf Tailgate on April 28th. He requests that players who attend the 11am recognition program wear your white etown warm up shirts (with the crest).

Big E Booster Club and GEARS are hosting the Turf Tailgate on April 28th. Our new Big E Rep, Greg Wiedman, will be organizing the boys soccer program to participate in this event. The goal is to raise money and community support for the turf that we hope to play on!!! Soccer players are asked to report to the fair grounds at 11am to show program support. However, we have been asked to host a game (soccer shot net). Please contact Mr. Wiedman, parents and players, to assist with this fundraising event and help with our sponsored game. Contact via email at Weidmans@embarqmail.com or call him at 717-367-1022. As I will be in Washington DC with my AP class he will leading this event on behalf of the soccer program. We need players and parents to assist with the GEARS “Turf Tailgate” held on April 28th. Coach Sostack will be in Washington DC competing for a National title with his We the People team (current State Champions) on this date hence the need for both parents and players to attend this important fund raising event to represent boys soccer. As one of the sport’s teams that will directly benefit from turf we need to commit as a group to make this happen. We have been asked to host a game activity of our choosing in the Kids Zone. Please contact Coach Sostack ASAP to assist with organizing and participating in this event. Let’s get the ball rolling on turf!!! Information regarding summer training events will be released soon.

U16 Team Registered for Lanco Fieldhouse

U16 players interested in playing Winter Session Two at the Lanco Fieldhouse should contact Coach Sostack to be put on the roster ASAP. Space is limited. Balance club soccer with keeping the school team training for a fall championship!! Start date is Jan. 27th, a special request to play mostly on Fridays has been submitted. Go Bears!

There will several skills training sessions offered to all players (grades 7-11) in the new year. Stay posted for upcoming dates and times. Refine your touch with top level Dutch training techniques!

Re: Boys LANCO Holiday Soccer Tournament

Boys who will be returning to the Varsity program are invited to join the Etown Holiday Tournament team on December 30th at LANCO fieldhouse. Players who played Varsity will be given first priority but all other program players are strongly encouraged to contact Coach Sostack ASAP to be put on the roster. Let’s defend our Holiday Tournament title!!! Players must respond no later than Dec 8th.

A special thank you for Lori Funck for representing the Boys program at the Big E Booster Club. The Big E meets once a month (Wed. evening) to discuss the promotion of sports at the school district. Our representative is responsible for submitting our fundraising monies (bbq etc.) and representing our program during the evening discussions. PLEASE volunteer so that we have a voice at these meetings! Contact Coach Sostack if you can assist with representing our program. Go Bears!

Reminder – The banquet is on Mon. Nov. 14 @ 6:00pm @ The Gathering

Place in Mount Joy.

Attn: Senior Parents

We are in need of a senior parent to pick up 8 bunches of balloons on Mon.

& delivery them to the Gathering Place by 5:00pm. Someones help will

be greatly appreciated.

Please bring along your sons senior night poster to the banquet to be

hung up.

Senior parents are asked to be at the Gathering Place by 5:00pm. to help

set up for the banquet.

Attention All Varsity/JV Players & Parents!

We are in desperate need of getting a person/persons who are capable

of developing a video for the banquet. At this this point we are unable to

secure professional services due to cost. If anyone is willing to volunteer

their services or knows of anyone within reasonable cost that would be

willing to produce a video for us, please contact James Sostack or

Lori Funck. If we are unable to secure services from someone, there will

be no video at the banquet. Thank you for your help & support.
