Jr. High Boys Soccer
Error in Messiah Camp dates. Messiah accidentially gave the basketball
camp dates instead of the soccer dates. The soccer camp (residential)
is July 25-29, this is the recommendation for the Jr. High boys.
Sorry for any confussion.

Announcement – Jr. High Soccer
The last posting in reference to Messiah Camp was for Jr. High Boys Soccer
only.
Sorry for any confussion.
Jr. High Boys Soccer
A Jr. High mom is needed to help organize Jr. High camps, etc. If interested,
please contact Coach Hoffman (mike_hoffman@etownschools). Jr.
High coaches are recommending Messiah College Camp. The coaches first
recommendation is to use the short day program at a cost of $240.00.
Dates – June 20-24 or Aug. – 1-4, 2010. Registration via online must be
completed by May 20th for the June camp. (www.messiah.edu) Go to
athletics, then click on camps. If you opt to have your son participate at
Messiah, please notify Coach Hoffman so he can keep a list that may be
used later for parents to organize car pooling.
Also needed is a volunteer 8th grade parent to assist with organizing a
preseason picnic which will be the same format as the varsity picnic.

Announcement:
The Elizabethtown Relay For Life, (which supports the American Cancer
Society) will be held in the E-town High School Stadium this year.
Dates – Friday – June 25 & Saturday June 26, 2010
The Big E Booster Club is in charge of running the concession stand for
the event.
This will be a fundraiser similar to the Fair Parking.
Players & parents are encouraged to participate to help run the
concession stand. The times have not been worked out yet. Let me know if
you are interested in helping with this fundraiser (general account). If we
have enough volunteers, I will then add Boys Soccer to the list of participants.
If someone is interested in organizing a relay team for the boys soccer team,
please get back to me for more information. lfunck@supernet.com
The relay team would be for players & families.

Attention High School JV & Varsity Players:
Starting on Wed. March 24, 2010 anyone interested in weight training,
please meet with Coach Sostack in the weight room from 3:00pm – 4:30pm.
Weight training will be held on Monday, Wednesday & Thursdays from
3:00pm. – 4:30pm.

Old Business:
Thank you to everyone who participated the Pizza Hut Fundraiser.
Total amount raised – $91.99 to go into the general fund.
New Business:
1. Four Diamonds Fund:
The Key Club is sponsoring a Dance Mini-Thon to raise money for
The Four Diamonds Fund. Any family with a child being treated for
pediatric cancer at Penn State Children’s Hospital is automatically eligible
for support.The fund is used for financial support to help families with
expenses not covered by insurance companies, medical team support
& research. If any of the boys would be interested in participating
paperwork may be picked up in Coach Archer’s room.
Date – March 20th from 4:00pm. – 10:00pm.
Where – EAHS
Belinda Good is putting together a Movie basket from the Boys Soccer
Team for the event. If you are interested in making a monetary donation to
go towards a dinner gift card to be placed in the basket, please contact
Lori Funck at 940-5032 or lfunck@supernet.com . If anyone is interested
in donating an item, please contact Belinda at 361-8608 or
2. Theo’s Foods Inc. - Individual Account Fundraiser:
A total of 35 different varieties of food items to choose from.
Examples – Pizza Kits, Cheese Cakes, Cookie Dough, Twisted Pretzels,
Sticky Buns, Chicken Pies & Apple Dumplings.
Pick up brochures/order forms - Mon. March 15, 2010 in Coach Sostack’s
room.
Return order forms – Tues., March 30, 2010 to Coach Sostack or Lisa
Brenner with checks payable to” Big E Booster Club”.

For each item your son sells, they will make $5.00, which will be

3. Hershey Park:
Individual Account Fundraiser/ General Fund
Anyone 18 years or older & not employed by Hershey Entertainment
& Resorts may participate in this to help raise funds for your child.
We are currently in the process of registering our group. This may take
up to 6 six weeks. We will be given dates & times to volunteer our time to
work at the park. We will be paid $5.85 per hour, not for lunch
(30 minutes). $5.00 will be deposited into your childs individual account
& .85 will go into the general fund. The distribution of funds was decided
on at the last fundraising meeting. For each day you work, you will also
receive a free voucher for admission into Hershey Park, good for 1 year.

4. Hoss’s 20% Coupon Night – General Account:
Where – E-town Hoss’s
When – Wed., April 28, 2010
Each player will receive 10 coupons to be handed out. On the scheduled day,
anyone with a coupon that dines at Hoss’s for lunch or dinner will give
their waiter or waitress their coupon & 20% of their bill will be donated
back to the boys soccer program.
5. Soccer Clinic/ BBQ Chicken:
General Fund/ Individual Accounts
When – Wed., May 19 & Thurs., May 20, 2010

6. Left over individual account money
After graduation, all money left in individual accounts will be absorbed
into the general fund account. (Exception would be if a younger sibling
is in the program , it would than be transferred into their account).
7. Anyone may see their account balance or team balance at
any time.
8. Hoodies/ T-shirt Fundraiser
