5K & 10K RACE
The planning is underway for the 1st annual Boys Soccer Team 5K & 10K
Race to be held in Elizabethtown. This event will represent the whole
soccer program which includes Jr. High & Varsity. We will be asking for the
help of many volunteers to make this a successful event. This is a great way
to get the Boys Soccer Program recognized to the public.
We are asking for your creative minds to come up with a name to call the
race. If anyone (players & parents) have an idea, please contact me.
We are in need of a Volunteer Coordinator & a Course Coordinator.
The volunteer coordinator will be charge of getting volunteers, assigning
volunteers to positions & the go to person for volunteers on the day of the
event. The course coordinator will be in charge of setting up signs,
point of contact person for traffic control, making sure there is a follow
vehicle behind the last runner & to make sure all is cleaned up (signs etc.)
when the race is over. If interested in being a coordinator, please contact

Italy Trip
A special thank you for the families who responded to our proposed trip
to Italy in the summer of 2011. It is unfortunate that I must report that
we did not have sufficient interest to launch the trip at this time.
However, I will be contacting other school programs to see if they may
be interested in combining with our group so we can make this happen.
A final notice regarding my efforts will be sent out the second week of
August (upon my return from Europe this summer). If any families have
reconsidered, please send me an email

I hope that all the boys are running and getting in shape as preseason will
be here before you know it, with the fitness test on August 16th. Be sure
to hand in your physicals to the school office prior to the first day.

NEW FUNDRAISER IDEA
The E-town Boys Soccer Program is going to be sponsoring a 5K Race.
The race will take place in E-town. We are looking to put together a
committee of 5-6 people to plan & organize this event. The event will take
place in early Nov. Chuck Wells has been so gracious to volunteer his time
& expertise to help guide us on how to sponsor this type of event.
Chuck has been a participant in running in races as well as organizing races.
This event will be open to the public. All proceeds will go into the general
fund. Anyone from the Jr. High & Varsity program is welcome to
